About Us

After a successful 10-year career in HOA management, and a 35-year career in business process development in other industries, we knew we could better serve you as a company and an industry. In Community Association Management, manager burnout is a top concern. Good managers leave the industry because they’re overworked and underpaid. They face constant conflict. They often find themselves out of their depths with problems they don’t know how to solve and no time to figure it out. Each association has its unique way of doing things within the confines of federal, state and local regulations for the industry and the board of directors is constantly changing. Communities depend on their professional manager to keep the association running smoothly from year to year in this ever-changing environment. Homeowners expect continuity of processes and the equitable execution of HOA policies, and board members expect the association’s day-to-day business to be carried out with little direction. The good news is our solution minimizes manager burnout AND protects the HOA’s smooth transition when manager turnover does occur. We created our service business, typically a people-driven organization, as a process-driven one. This approach provides a framework for managers, board members and homeowners to align expectations. Written documentation lives on in the HOA’s library of knowledge, even when people change. Processes can be monitored, measured, and continuously improved. Managers know what they need to do and how they need to do it without being told. Stress is minimized and job satisfaction is maximized for managers and board members.

Our Philosphy

Knowledge is a critical asset that must be managed strategically.

We are a community of practice:

  1. We are a tribe, a group of professionals with a shared interest in community management, a competence that distinguishes us from other people.
  2. We are a community. We engage in joint activities and discussions, help each other, and share information. We build relationships that help us learn from each other.
  3. We practice community management. We share a repertoire of resources: experiences, stories, tools, ways of addressing recurring problems–in short a shared practice.

It is the combination of these three elements that constitutes our community of practice.

Vision
